When it was completed, our community’s long-held dream came true. Feedback we received has confirmed the need for this facility: general practitioners, various specialists, dentists, a pharmacy, psychology and speech-therapy offices are all available. The building was equipped with modern medical devices that expand the range of services available locally. Since 2014 there has been a permanent medical service with the launch of the Family Medical On-Call Centre. The ambulance station and the local volunteer fire brigade are also housed in the building. The LEADER office is located here as well.
The Gyergyóremete Health Center was handed over for use in December 2011. The new home of local healthcare was built largely with local funds, with support from the Harghita County Council and the Romanian Government. The total investment exceeded 3 million lei.
